Small instrument on Mars produces oxygen like a tree on Earth

Since its launch, NASA's Perseverance rover has been helping a lot in exploring the red planet.

The rover has set another record by producing the life-gas oxygen on the red planet - Mars.

This marks as a new benchmark in human's target to find the possibility of life on Mars.

The rover has used a lunchbox size instrument known as Moxie to generate breathable air on Mars

The small machine produce oxygen just like a tree produce it on earth,

Moxie has the ability to continuously generate oxygen using the carbon-dioxide-rich atmosphere of the host planet

Mars Oxygen In-Situ Resource Utilization Experiment (MOXIE) instrument

The 17.1-kilogram instrument produces close to 10 grams of oxygen per hour.

It managed to produce 6 grams of oxygen per hour similar to the rate of an average tree on Earth.

This is a really amazing breakthrough in the field of Mars Research.
