Samsung Confirms Data Breach Affecting Users

Samsung has confirmed a data breach which affected its users in the United States earlier this year.

According to the company, the breach has compromised data of some of its users

The company also claimed that the compromised data did not include confidential details like debit card and credit card numbers.

Even, important details like Social Security Numbers were also not included in this data leak.

The data leak happened in the month of July.

The leaked data includes the name of the user, their date of birth, contact details, product registration and more

The company is seeing a legal options to investigate the incident and also identify the reason or cause for the data breach.

Samsung has also on-boarded a Cyber Security firm to investigate this incident in details.

Though Samsung believes that important data is not compromised, but data leak from the company like Samsung is still a worrying news.
