James Webb Telescope captures Fiery Hourglass forming new star

NASA launch James Webb Space Telescope in 2021 to discover the outer space.

James Webb recently exposed once-hidden features of the protostar within the dark cloud L1527

It showcased the insights into the formation of a new star

These blazing clouds are within the Taurus star-forming region

It is only visible in infra-red lights, hence Webb’s Near-Infrared Camera (NIRCam) is an ideal choice

The protostar itself is hidden from view within the “neck” of this hourglass shape.

The disk, seen in the image as a dark band in front of the bright center, is about the size of our solar system

This view of L1527 provides a window into what our Sun and solar system looked like in their infancy.
