Instagram & Facebook remove posts offering Abortion Pills amid Roe v. Wade

On 24th June, the US supreme court overturned the 'Roe v Wade' and made abortion illegal.

Soon after the decision from the court people flooded social media with related posts, memes, and their views.

These posts even contains posts regarding people offering Abortion Pills.

According to analysts, posts about abortion pills, as well as posts mentioning specific versions such as mifepristone and misoprostol increased exponentially.

Media Intelligence Firm Zingal Labs found 2,50,000 such mentions on the Social Media.

Immediately after the court's decision, Meta started removing some of these posts on Instagram and Facebook.

Many Instagram and Facebook users also experienced that their posts got removed by the platform.
