Elon Musk offers To Buy Twitter For $41-bn

Elon Musk is the charismatic co-founder of PayPal and Tesla, as well as the founder of SpaceX, Neuralink, and The Boring Company.  

On 4th April, news came that Entrepreneur Elon Musk became the largest Stake holder in the Micro Blogging platform Twitter.

After that, he refused to become a member of the company's board.

Today, Elon made an offer to Twitter to buy out the company at $41 billion. 

He made a “best and final” offer to buy Twitter Inc., saying the company has extraordinary potential and he will unlock it

Musk offered to pay $54.20 per share in cash, representing a 54% premium over the Jan 28. 

Twitter's shares jumped 12% in premarket trading.

"Since making my investment I now realize the company will neither thrive nor serve this societal imperative in its current form. Twitter needs to be transformed as a private company," Musk said in a letter to Twitter Chairman Bret Taylor. 

Musk can afford it. He’s currently worth about $260 billion according to the Bloomberg Billionaire’s Index, compared with Twitter’s market valuation of about $37 billion.
