A Major Mistake on James Webb Telescope led to this

From many months, James Webb Space Telescope is providing extra-ordinary view of the cosmos.

But recently, a mistake happened on James Webb Telescope that turned into a interesting discovery.

Scientists used James Webb Telescope to look at the known space rock in the main asteroid belt.

Instead of that, accidentally they found a new asteroid.

The newly discovered asteroid is believed to be the smallest object so far detected by the James Webb Telescope.

"Our results show that even 'failed' Webb observations can be scientifically useful, if you have the right mindset and a little bit of luck," said the scientist.

A photo shared by NASA. (asteroid just 100 to 200 meters in size—roughly the size of Rome’s Colosseum)

A few months back, James Webb got hit by a micrometeroid.
